What Is The Watertown Volunteer Center?

The WVC is a non-profit organization serving the Watertown area. WVC matches volunteers with people and projects needing help.

The WVC provides a variety of functions including; promoting volunteerism, training and assisting non-profit organizations, recruiting and referring volunteers to a variety of opportunities, recognizing volunteers, and numerous individual programs designed to mobilize volunteers to solve community problems. Our WVC is a local, non-profit organization run by a local volunteer Board of Directors.

Who Benefits From This Program?

Everyone! Volunteers from every age are provided the benefit of knowing that they have helped their community become an even better place to live. With the help of volunteers, organizations can expand programs and services that might not otherwise be possible.

Volunteers receive a sense of caring and responsibility for others, a commitment to service, and a demonstration of citizenship. While their actions go largely unrecognized, volunteers are truly American's unsung heroes.

How Can I Help?

If you have a few hours a week or month, we can use your help to assist programs and organizations in the Watertown area. The opportunities are practically limitless! We do not supply volunteers to either business or individuals wanting menial labor.
